Our History
Ronan Farrar began his journey in the renewable energy industry in 2010, acquiring essential knowledge and skills through collaborations with prominent solar companies. In 2020, he officially established SolarOn SA, capitalizing on the trade restrictions that emerged due to COVID-19 starting in 2019.
Driven by a deep passion for renewable energy and a keen interest in technological advancements since entering the field, Ronan launched a new division in the renewable water sector called SolarPlumb. He is dedicated to addressing global warming.
With a clear vision for his enterprise, Ronan achieved success through hard work, long hours, and steadfast determination. He cultivated a team culture where every member shares his enthusiasm and dedication to the industry. Initially focused on residential installations, Ronan soon discovered his true passion for providing commercial and industrial solutions. His business flourished during a critical time as South Africa faced a severe electricity crisis over the past decade, leaving many citizens without power.
